Virtualisation Training
Virtualisation allows one computing device to arrange the task of multiple computing devices. This means that fewer servers are required therefore significantly reducing operating costs that can also improve your IT infrastructure through increased responsiveness and operational flexibility.
Course Objectives
This course is an intensive introduction to the VMware Virtual Infrastructure suite. At the end of the course delegates will have an understanding of the functionality in VMware Infrastructure 3 and be able to:
- Install ESX Server
- Manual and scripted installs
- Understand Security of the COS
- Manage virtual machines
- Create, configure, migrate, manage and monitor
- Implement: Clustering, Distributed Resource, Scheduler, High Availability and VMWare Consolidated Backup
- Understand and use: Update Manager, VMWare Convertor and Consolidation Manager
- Use and syntax of command line
Training Method
This is a Fast Track course based at our Newark training facilities over a 5 day period; 50% presentation 50% hands-on lab.
Who Should Attend
The course is designed for delegates who have some experience in IT and want a short but deep and effective introduction to VMware technologies.
